Your mind matters. Your mental health is important at every stage of life, from a young child through adulthood. How we think has an effect on how we feel and act. When we don’t feel 100% we are unable to handle stress as well or make healthy choices which affects our everyday interactions with others.

Balanced Life cares about your mental health. Each person’s needs are different and here at Balanced life we have providers who work with you to create an individualized treatment plan and follow up closely providing expert care along the way.

Life is all about balance and that is true for medications also. Medications may be needed at times but are not the only treatment.

We work together with the patient to find the right balance of medications along with therapy and other behavioral health and lifestyle changes to treat:

Addiction to substances is a chronic disease that begins with voluntarily taking drugs and the person’s ability to choose to use them gets more difficult over time. Substance abuse is indicated by compulsive, uncontrollable, and seeking behavior despite harmful consequences from the substance use.

Addiction to Alcohol, Opiates, and other drugs can be challenging to stop and it requires a team effort. Together with each client we develop a personalized treatment plan working with all of the client’s providers to find the best strategy for helping the client overcome their dependence of substances.

Not all addictions have specific medication. Many times substances are used by the individual to self medicate because of underlying symptoms of mental health issues. Stabilizing any behavioral health issues such as depression and anxiety can help. At Balanced Life we help treat the underlying issues and we also offer specific medication treatment for Opiate and Alcohol addiction.

Focusing on the whole patient, Balanced Life provides a personalized treatment approach for each client. In order to treat the whole patient, we work with patients struggling with addiction to find a healthy balance of mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing.

Suboxone (buprenorphine) is a treatment that helps opiate users come off stronger opiates. It provides a safe way for the client to stabilize their cravings, reduces high risk behaviors, prevents relapses, and allows the patient to stay focused and engage in treatment.

Suboxone significantly can reduce or eliminate withdrawal symptoms. This is important in a successful recovery. Balanced Life Behavioral Health focuses on the person as a whole and along with medication assisted treatment like suboxone, we put together a comprehensive treatment plan that include treatment to discover and address the root cause of the addictive behavior, addressing behavioral health issues, therapy to learn positive coping skills, and how to navigate triggers for drug abuse/use.

Naltrexone and Vivitrol are treatments can help opiate users stay off opiates and can help people struggling with alcohol addiction curb their craving. It provides a safe way for the client to stabilize their cravings, reduces high risk behaviors, prevents relapses and allows the patient to stay focused and engage in treatment.

Naltrexone and Vivitrol for people struggling with alcoholism can significantly reduce or eliminate the craving for alcohol. It works in the brain by blocking certain receptors that urges people to use alcohol. Taking a medication like naltrexone helps maintain abstinence from these substances. Together with other supportive treatments it can help someone start and maintain their sobriety.

Naltrexone and Vivitrol for people struggling with sobriety from opiate dependence helps by blocking opiate receptors which blocks the effect of opiates. Blocking the effect decreases the urge to use and allows the client to focus on their treatment. Balanced Life Behavioral Health focuses on the person as a whole and along with medication assisted treatment like Vivitrol, we put together a comprehensive treatment plan that include treatment to discover and address the root cause of the addictive behavior, addressing behavioral health issues, therapy to learn positive coping skills, and how to navigate triggers for drug abuse/use.

Therapy is important when using the whole patient approach. Medications along with psychotherapy have been shown to significantly help people with emotional, behavioral, and substance abuse problems.

There are many different therapy approaches. Different behavioral health disorders respond better to different therapy modalities. Personalized treatment is most important as different people respond to treatments differently and if one treatment does not help another might. People who don’t respond well to medications can greatly benefit from therapy.

Balanced Life provides a personalized treatment approach for each client. In order to treat the whole patient, we work with patients struggling with behavioral health and addiction problems to find a healthy balance of mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing through medications, therapy, and other behavioral health modifications.
